I’ve been working with my longtime friend Alan Hampton since we first met in 2000. Our collaboration began with our first film project in 2005, where we discovered a unique synergy between my saxophones and Hampton’s acoustic bass and guitars. Over the years, our compositions have been inspired by and have paid homage to the great film composers Bernard Herrmann, Henry Mancini, and Les Baxter.
Most recently, we contributed greatly to the score of Chris Pine’s debut directorial film, "Poolman." This project stands as a testament to our enduring partnership and our ability to blend traditional and contemporary elements to create evocative and memorable soundtracks.
Friends Matt Parker & Alan Hampton have been writing music together since college.
